With the recent release of IE9 and FF4, all browsers out there are now very good browsers. It’s too early to tell which one is going to be my favorite. IE9 is sleek and fast. FF4 looks great (for the first time ever). Opera is also very good (although I never felt like switching to Opera). Safari is… well… Apple (it simply works but there is no real need for it).
I think FF4 is going to be my main browser at work until we finally switch to Windows 7 (and of course IE9). For the moment I’m not ready to switch away from Chrome though. I have all my bookmarks there and everything is in sync between all my computers so it’s not going to be easy to move out of Chrome for my casual web surfing. There is not much benefit either. That said, IE9’s pinned sites are just brilliant. I already pinned my banks and other sensitive sites and will probably only use IE9 from now on for accessing them.
Anyway. The point is: for the first time in web’s history, all browsers are great browsers. Way to go…
